Looking good mate, are you refreshed after your hoilday.\ said:Hi guys,Today ive finally started the paint. Theres not alot done yet but here it is with its first coat of primer on (Still a little damp). Im going to put a thin coat of filler over some areas to cover gaps where the paper has peeled and were it has twisted in painting.
Amazing mate, i cant beleive how a pile of paper and card can turn out like this. Fantastic work. I have seen may dio's on here that have been finished...never seen one from the begining like yours mate, should make a real good thread.\ said:Today i have started the groundwork. I added a blue scatter as it was cheaper than a green scatter so i will paint it later. I still need to add some to the rockfaces to create a moss or grass effect. Thanks, Tom.
Thanks for the kind words Andy. But unfortunately it looks like your the only one following the project, but oh well i'll carry on.\ said:Amazing mate, i cant beleive how a pile of paper and card can turn out like this. Its great work mate, i thought the same about my P47, no comments hardly. I have checked the stats and so far you have had 602 views. So keep up the work mate, we are all watchng.\ said:I've added some more scatter to the top of the rockfaces and on the ridges. Here are some pics with the scatter on, and the models and figures in position.
Please Rate.
Thanks, Tom.
Yo Tom, Polyfilla is fine, but put on in any thickness it does tend to crack, but that will help your dio to look more realistic. Go for it.\ said:Thanks ron, i forgot about you, Lol! Will polyfilla give the same effect as I have loads of it?
What colours to make the ruts look fresh (still wet) ?
Tom
I did wonder what you were up to. Thought you decided to keep this one a seceret in the end. Cant wait to see your progress update mate.\ said:Hi guys its been a while!I've been busy placing scatter most of the time but I have managed to finish the mortar pit, including a hand made MG thats about 3/4cm long. I have also made a camo net and some barbed wire still to be put in their final positions.
Cheers,
Tom.
P.S - pictures will be posted tomorrow once everything is dry.
