Tweaking has started. Storage locker lids made from plastic card with clamps and hinges from the spares box and the etch set. The bulkhead was replaced as the kit one is far to thick.

The front seats were not up to much so I have cobbled together some replacements. The kit also had no pedals so with a bit of copper wire and some etch upgrades added some of these as well.

I have a cunning plan for the canvas cover on this build if I can pull it off so a lot of this won't be seen.

Being as how this is an open vehicle, anything you do will be a massive improvement over what the kit has to offer. I'm quite certain you will have a real winner when all is said and done! :thumb2: :thumb2:

Great additions Scottie. The seats look far better. Looking forward to your cunning plan.
Thank you Jim, trust me they couldn't look worse than the kit ones.

I used some deck plate sheet that I had and added it to the interior I still have to add it to the drivers compartment. I added some strip and rivet detail as well but I have just seen a reference picture with some different rivet detail which I will go for.

Next on the agenda were the crew seats. To say they were a little thick was an understatement, I measured them and they worked out that the seats would have been made out of 37mm thick steel. So they have all been thinned out. Next new bolt detail was added. Finally new cushions were made from green stuff I wanted them to look lived in and not nice and square.

The picture shows a kit assembly and my take on them.

I'm with you here Buddy!!! I've fallen behind on so many great builds and am trying to ketchup. You always let your skills shine on these oldie kits and this one is no exception Paul. I really love the seat cushions and of course, your magic work with PE...I can't wait to see what you have next up your sleeve for this one...

Prost
