Scotties Bergpanzer Buffalo.

Hello all, spent some time working on the hollingbones not sure if that is the correct spelling. The kit ones were very simplified. The vehicle is capable of raising and lowering the bones via a small winch on the rear of the vehicle, the crew viewing the procedure via a camera mounted on one of the legs. The moulded details were removed and then added from sheet, pewter and copper. One leg was replaced as the square box on the leg is hollow and secured by straps. This section was allow the cables to be run from the camera to the vehicle. The hook and cable details were also added that are completely missing from the kit.

The plug sockets were also added to the hull rear ready for the cable to be added later.

thanks for looking

Bloomin' amazing, (as usual with a Scottie build). Just amazing.
Methinks I need some 1 -1 tuition on all the magical detail you keep on putting into your builds. Even close up they look just perfect.

It's coming along very well, exceptional detail and replacement of kit details, I like it a lot...

Are we looking at 1/35 here , either that or a very large Tamiya bottle Paul.

Just got this recommended to me by YouTube, which seems to fit here very nicely:

Paul, as always, a feast for the eyes to watch your model building skills.

No pics today. But I have been busy and received some 5mm x 1mm magnets today. See if you can guess what they are for.

I also found it interesting that the lead guy was giving hand signals to the rear-view camera when they were hooking up the tow bar. To be expected, of course, but if you don’t know there’s a camera there, it may leave you wondering why he’s doing that when it’s obviously out of sight of the driver :)

Cool video. I think I would have dropped the spade & winched it out of the ditch then hooked up the tow bar.

I wanted to be able to show the crew door and tool locker door open, but also show the vehicle with all the armour in place. So I purchased some 5x1mm magnets. This meant I had to fill the end of the front armour pack, this enabled me to fit the magnets without them being seen and also gave the armour pack some depth. The rear magnet is hidden in the armour pack to the rear of the crew cabin. The corresponding magnets were fitted to the armour pack. I have some work to do to remove the filler from the front but I happy with the way it works.
