Not a lot of time at the bench lately but things are progressing slowly. I won't bore you with descriptions as the PE is self evident. The only things apart from that is the new crow bar, the shovel has been thinned down and the front side lights have been scratched along with their cables. The only other additions are the headlight guards Have been made from wire. I only made these as two from kit were missing.
Oh and one bin lid was replaced to give it a bit of a dent.

The build continues slowly. I don't normally bother priming my builds but given the all the etch I thought I would this time. When that had time to dry I gave everything a pre shade.

Not sure about a masterpiece in fact this is far from it.
Calling this done. It is finished in Tamyia flat earth and highlighted with the same paint lightened with Tamyia white. The decals around the Turret were a nightmare as you can imagine given all the raised detail and they are far from perfect but they give the right impression hopefully.

Well done Paul ! A dumb question I am sure but what is the function of those degree marks ? Have wondered before, but still have no idea
Hi mate, I believe that originally these tanks were not going to be landed but would stay on the landing craft. The markers on the outside of the turret enabled to show othe people the angle they were traversing to engage the targets. This changed as leaving good tanks on the boats was considered a waste of resources.
No doubt some one will give a better explanation.

That’s pretty much it: the degree markings allowed observers outside the tank, and nearby infantry once they got ashore, to easily tell the tank crew which direction to fire in.
