well got some more done today, even,as I had a busy day, ;)

as you can see from my tracks,I make up a jig so to say, what I do 1st is,laydown,

double sided tap then on top of that masking tape, that holds the links,in place,

as you can see there is a little gap with the tracks hear and there,i wait for the glue to cure on the front 3 or 5,then push them into place,

before you get to far infront,so you push, back against the ruler to keep them straight

to do one side with a little trim hear and there of the links about 20mins to lay,80 odd,

well I hope you like my way to do,some think a lot of people just hate or dislike,

but me I real don't mind doing them, :)

waiting on my zimm,to come,so started adding bits hear and there, and to my horror,:mad: .....not front hatch cover,

so what I did is made a little mold, from my other tiger, and need to shape and sand down, then add the covers as well, ;)

I have glue some parts of the tracks, but lefted the bend part, witch I,will do in the morning as I need the glue to hold so say

half set,which is between 30min to 60min,

well hope you like my progress so far,

I agree about single link tracks, they seem daunting but once you get going, I find them quite relaxing. Perfect accompaniment to a good coffee brew and some easy classical music.

Thread owner
do agree ,Graham, looking at the two cups of links thinking, and looking

when to start, but once you do it is,as long as the other half stops nagging,

Good looking kit wheels especially the camo have had the late tiger kit in my stash for about 10yrs have never plucked up the courage to start it will watch with interest.

Really enjoying this one Monica. Really must dig out my Acadamy Tiger, the one that everyone hates with the interior. I have never built a 1/35 Tiger in all the years I have been modelling, no idea why not.

It is a pleasure to see another Tiger becoming alive on this forum! I like a lot your start!

Thread owner
that will be a nice one to see,Graham,if you do like that type of thing, will look

forward to seeing it one day, ;)

I have a swap meet to go to this coming sunday, looking so forward to it,will get a Tiger or 2 and a SU-124/26,

I think they are the ones, with the 4 fuel tanks on the back, plus a couple of other things, lov a bargain lol, :D

This is looking very good Monica. I really like the approach you have taken to the damaged exhaust and this is defo worth making a more of.

I have never built a Tiger in any guise and I seriously think I ought to get one.

You guys on here always make them look so authentic.

Really looking forward to the Zimmerit going on.

Regards

Robert

Thread owner
much appreciated, comments ,Robert,so glad your liking it so far,

I do try my best at them, and I do real enjoy ,the build, hope that the

Zimmerit gets hear soon,it kills me waiting, ;)

Thread owner
well I gave up waiting as this has st for two weeks,

so no Zimm,on this will use for one of the others, ;)

all freehand,I know there is a little splatter, why no clue with the .02 needle,

but it will be coved so no problem for me,did not wont to do a tri-color as I have just done,

two of them, and the nexts will be an early one,and another late in winter camo, ;)

so I shell it it sit for a day or two before moving on with it,

well hope your liking it so far, :)
