Hey peeps,
Thought I'd crack on with Willem Dafoe, Sgt Elias from the 1986 film Platoon.
I feel theres something missing from him... yes, obviously his body, I know i have to also clean up his eyes and tone down the shading under his eyes but I feel that something else isnt right.
I have gone for a sweaty hot look... what do you think guys?

He looks like he's in the jungle humidity. I'm no figure painter, but if you want an opinion, it would be that his hair could be darker for that wet look. The face looks good to me.

Thanks Joe, his hair was black and I've just gone over it with lighter brown dry brush, it does need a couple more coats to be honest

Looks good, Lee. Have you used a gloss finish for the sweaty look? I'm not sure what scale he is, but if it's not too small, some catchlights in his eyes would really bring him to life.

Thanks Paul, I have given him a thin coat of gloss just for the look... ummm I think he's 9th or 10th scale, I cant remember 100%.
Yes, I think a very fine brush and a dabber in the right place would make him more life like.
