The winters in NM are fairly moderate compared to many other parts of the country 50's and 60's during the day and 20's and 30's at night. My shop is somewhat insulated and I heat it when I'm out here working. However the temperature in my shop has been in the high 40's/low 50's lately and my question is am I running any risk of ruining the paints I have stored out there? I have acrylics, enamels, washes, filters, clear/matt varnishes and various other paints.

Most paints do not like frost or to much heat. Now this sounds a bit daft, but in my shed I have a refrigerator that I keep house paint in. Its not plugged in, I just use it as an .insulated cupboard. Keeps a good even temp all year round, from -15 in the winter to +30 in the summer.

My model bench is in the house, so I just make sure they are not in direct sun light.
