Broke this out the box yesterday morning.

Built most of it in a couple of hours….very simple construction and clear instructions.

Wow I blinked and it’s almost done. Great work I’ve been thinking of having a Missle, Rocket and Artillery GB this fall October-December maybe you will have the urge to build another.

That's a very quick and very neat build Si. Much smaller than I imagined. Should paint up well.

I also find it kind of cheap that they moulded the rocket pod in place. Had they made it separate, it would have been possible to put the vehicle into a diorama where it’s being reloaded, for example. But that means larger moulds, which means more expensive. Another nice option would have been different front and rear faces for the pods, so you can build it as one loaded with an ATACMS from the box. These are MLRS pods:

It deliberately resembles an MLRS pod on the outside so that it’s hard for enemy intelligence to tell which is which, but for the modeller there are clear differences. Of course, you can modify the kit parts, but Dragon could just have supplied different ends.

Been chucking some paint and weathering at the HIMARS
The paint chucking and weathering has worked very well.

Looking good, though I would darken the windows a good deal if this was my model. The interior of the cab will be dark and the glass thick, so the windows won’t be very light either, generally (unless you can see the sky reflected in them, of course ).

Nice chunking paint Si. The weathering in the crevices look convincing. Waiting for more……
