worked out ok, i used a small pin to line up the locking mechinisum and cut it once all the part were on, belts I dipped the cut ends in to superglue to stop them fraiing, my first time too but slow and steady seemed to work, well saying that i havent tried them in the seat yet :rolling:

Well slow going and i had to redo the seat belt **** i tried the shoulder straps in the seat and they cleared no bother however the side and bottom staps don’t seemed easier to just start them again so that took a bit of time but all done now,
all of the chassis is built and painted not assembled but soon will be.
the cockpit i added a few braded hoses to look like cable looms, and a tube from the fire extinguisher. Roll cage and dash are fitted and when trailed with the door sections fit really nicely
body shell i have cleaned up and fitted out all the black parts i dare to other black parts are metalic so i think best to do these later and as ther attached from the inside nobody will see it

couple of pictures before a final rub down and then ill stick it all together

yes looks great till you cut it, even the smallest diamiter from tamiya looks overly biG so i have never used it on any bikes, its a bugger to fray as well

thanks
simon

i have some 0.6, 0.8 and 1mm braided. My secret to the fraying is to insert something into the open end (a needle or pin works well) then carefully apply a tiny amount of CA around where you want to cut it off. Twiddle this in your fingers for a few seconds then leave to dry. Remove the pin and snip with a sharp pair of scissors (I use Tamiya decal scissors) and you should have a nice clean end. For added style points, a thin strip of aluminium tape makes an excellent jubilee clip.

The CF on the dash looks amazing mate.
Thanks it was ok to apply as well, heat gun and sol, the door panels have it to but i over heated the first one and it vacuum formed on the plastic worked really well so i have ordered a new 2 speed one to save this happening again i was lucky i didn't melt it but the result was perfect!!!

Busy couple of evenings Thursday i masked of the windows rather than use the decals I think they turned out quite well, have to think i might not have had the same result if I used the decals. Also managed to get the tyres and the centre rings complete these were pe parts and i added the decals to the top of them but i never glued them in just brushed some clear coat over them once in place
IMG_3347.jpegIMG_3348.jpeg
tonight i started the body decals difficult to find a good starting point, so i started with the drivers window and worked from there its been fun but there coming on and not many issues so far any way
IMG_3349.jpeg
Hope to keep pressing on over the weekend as im keen to start a bike there so much more manageable
