I put this together when I was building 1/72 and 1/72 scale armour. Simple to put together from a small offcut of wood for the base and a piece of brass strip. The model is held on the stand by drilling a small hole through the base and then fixed to the strip with a small bolt.

I also made one for 1/35 scale AFVs from a slightly heavier piece of wood and some aluminium strip I had handy.
