Finally my Jagdtiger is done & so's the dio! The idea is a moral-boosting snap of the victorous Soviet forces next to a potent symbol of failed fascism.

I've also added a pic of the original '332' that kinda inspired me.

For all you cost-conscious chaps out there (Ron!) the total cost of the base was under a fiver! I'm aware that I'll never win any prizes for my figures (yet!) but they could be worse. Well, thanks for looking & all comments are appreciated.

Patrick

ps my camera is rubbish!

Top Dollar stuff, Patrick. Well done. Last photo, 2nd set gets my cookie!

You can hear the soldiers saying "Hurry up comrade, we're freezing here, you'd better have the vodka as promised!

:chillin:

Once again excellent work, my friend.

Patrick,

I'm an Aircraft man myself, but have to compliment you on the finish particularly right down to the foot prints in the snow, fantastic weathering - 5 star.

Excellent work. Derek

brilliant stuff patrick, well done, the figures look great to me, cheers tony

Thanks for your kind words chaps, I'm very pleased with how it turned out but it's always good to get confirmation from my peers! The snow is a mix of baking soda, white glue & plaster, added together until it's about the consistency of yogurt. On the tank itself I just lightly brushed a little white glue in the places I thought it should have gathered (bearing in mind that the wind was blowing from the side opposite the Ivan's) & then sprinkled the baking soda over, pressing it in with my fingers. It's a lot cheaper than that Scenic Snow stuff! Patrick

Patrick mate, amazing job! I take my hat off to you. And the figures are a lot better than what 6 billion other people can do!

Brilliant job mate, i asked a week or so ago to see some snow scenes as they all seem to be summer dios. You have provided me with what i was looking for mate. As the festive season aproaches it would be good to see some more snow scenes. Well done mate.

Hi Paul & Andy, thank you for what you said! I'm done with snow for a while but maybe someone will produce another winter dio-how bout a 1/72 showing a column of Russian armour passing a line of defeated German troop as they wearily trudge into captivity? Could be fun! Patrick

Hi patrick it is both a lobour of love and an object of frustration at the same time if that is at all possible, the build is complete iam at the painting stage now on week 4 and i still have the crew and 4 cammett mines to assemble and paint so it may be some time thanks for asking.

I think most of us have that love/have thing going on with our models at times! I'm looking forward to seeing the beast once it's done-knowing you, it'll be worth waiting for. Patrick
