discussion smoke grenade covers

Guys,
In an attempt to move my Abrams build along a tad I was wondering how to make covers for the smoke grenade launchers fitted to the side of the turret, what do you normally use, I've tried a couple of time to have a go but they just don't look 'right'.

The cloth covers, you mean? I’ve not tried making that, but wouldn’t a triangular piece of tissue work? Might be difficult to trim to size, though … Else maybe sculpt it from two-part epoxy putty?

yeah those are the ones Jakko
