Go with whats best for you John I'm sure we will all fit in around the new system

I agree, whatever makes it easier for you to maintain is the best option.

I think I will be updating the forum tomorrow (Monday) providing I have time, I don't want to mess it up, the software I've chosen should be a lot like things are now as its made by the original developers of vb, but it should be much faster and add free for people that take part in the forum.

If you visit the forum and its not working it means I've broke it or upgrading it :)

As I have absolutely zero understanding of computer type stuff beyond thumping the keyboard. It would be pointless in me expressing an opinion. It'd be rather like allowing people with an IQ of 46 to vote in a general election.

So whatever makes your life easier is fine with me.

I'm liking it already mate :) :) :) :

When we upgraded the forums I used to admin on we used to just run it for an hour or so just with a few people logged in with specific testing accounts... sort of beta testing it of sorts.

If you need someone to access and run through anything on windows OS before you flip the switch then I'm free if needed.

Could you do my paint order first John. :bounce:Laurie
I will do all the orders first, it's been a busy weekend so that's why I said I might not have time, I will upgrade my test forum first see if there are any issues.

Your the boss. Im easy :) and like geebee said, I have no idea what it all means.

It looks like it's going to be tomorrow before I do anything, I've updated my test forum and I can't believe how quick and easy it was, let's hope it goes as well on the live forum

Ive just posted my little niggle on Steves thread like a plank ... (as i said on that though, i like the whole layout thing and it runs superb on all the platforms i've tried it on. )

uploading images is now a one-by-one process ... a hassle if someone has loads of images to post of a build.

also if you drag and drop the image within the text as wanted they still appear as thumbnails under the post (this will just use up page space)

Any chance of multiple uploads, or is it a "live with it" situation ...

I like the old format myself, but if this the way of the future I'll go along with it (relunctantly)

Well it's different John! No home page which is a bit odd. I like the way your images can be seen as a slide show( a definite improvement) . Will obviously take a while to get used to the navigation. Being a bit picky here but I prefer the original font but that can be changed and is a matter of personal preference but it does look a bit old fashioned. I was still using the 2011 version but I think you should go with this one maybe it's time for a change.

Didn't realise that you can only upload one image at a time(I haven't updated my build thread since the change)so thats could be a real pain.

you dont have to up load one at a time just started my thread KV-2 had no problems with it

i must say i think it looks and works a great deal better..but each to there own :) :) and i like the way your profile picture appears in the posts that you have commented on cool
