I did the really smart thing of packing away all my modelling stuff ready to move and now I'm really bored on the evenings!

It gets worse as I realised I have another 4 weeks to go! I could unpack things but figure I will just try and read up as much as I can and plan what to buy first but its not helping much lol.

So what to buy first, some of the 1:32 Tamiya aircraft I like, maybe a 1:200 ship for a change or even start to recollect my Star Trek kits I gave away years ago. I'm spoilt for choice :)

Oh well could be worse :)

Or could it?

Maybe you could do a bit of figure painting? Not many tools or equipment, just a limited pallet of paints and a few brushes.

Brush up on photography for exhibiting on here your finished models to obtain the best in presentation.

Get your stuff back out in 4 weeks you could have a kit built and still have time to put the tools away again Adrian

I hate the feeling of enforced idleness when you have time on your hands. I have spent a few weeks away recently staying in a hotel with not much to do other than work or prop up the bar. If I'd had a box of modelling stuff to take away with me I could have got a load done but there is only so much you can take in your checked luggage. While propping up the bar I did manage to expand my stash through the medium of the Internet though!

Yes same problem here sometimes. 2 weeks away not always much to do. Bought a gaming laptop for those times haha

I've decided to work on a few of the figures for my dio, though spending a lot of the time searching for houses to rent :)

Soon as I move I'm going to take a little trip to Norwich to the model shop in the arcade, Langleys I think its called a real old style toy shop with the upper floor full of models :) Then its on to Hannants for a days browsing :)

Me and a friend were headed to Gt Yarmouth a few years back and saw that as we passed, called in on the way back, its where I picked up my Dragon 88 with the metal barrels, great place and loved the Russian tank outside from Goldeneye I think it was?

You and me both. All my modelling stuff is sat boxed in the garage at the new house waiting. Well tomorrow the carpenter will fit the bench and I can at least sort everything out. But I wont be building until I move and that won't be for a few weeks yet!!! But still I am occupied gradually clearing out cupboards and rooms at the moment while at weekends we shop for new dining table, beds, bedding and so on. Watching too much tv as well .....

I'm trying to condense from three bedrooms two sheds worth down to a 2 bedroom that I'll be sharing with no garage or shed in sight :( Since my mom passed away a few years ago I have spread throughout the house with my hobby and now its a case of sorting what's worth keeping and what's going in a skip !
