Cheers Andy, engine colour supposed to be Russian engine grey, looking around the net it seems to have a light blue to it, I mixed a colour that was good enough for me :thumb2:

This where I've got to with the plug leads, there is actually the coil lead fitted as well but a bit buried now, not perfect by any means but by eye looks OK, zoomed in on a camera a bit different but my first ever scratch and without an opti visor and pound shop glasses I'm pretty happy.20210703_233835.jpg20210703_233547.jpg

You've cracked it there Mark.
You mention the engine colour, I used a light blue the same as Russian aircraft, thought that looked exactly like it :thumb2:.
Leads look like leads, and how you managed all those into the coil wow, impressed.
Looking fwd to seeing the rest .

Nice result there Mark....once you have it all painted up, should look the Bomb! :thumb2: Rick H.

Hi Mark
Engine wiring looks really good. Well done with that - very fiddly.

Well the engine is pretty much together now, a few touch ups and some weathering to do and when it's in the chassis I will try to add some fuel lines and live battery cable and possibly heater hoses to the cab.20210704_184625.jpg20210704_184553.jpg20210704_184343.jpg

OK so I wanted to try some engine detail on this so here's my first ever bit of scratch!! Have started to make a distributor, had to put seven holes into the top of a 3mm diameter rod! I would either break drill bits or they would move about on the surface so i held a broken drill bit in pliers and heated it up with a lighter and melted the holes in, seemed to work OK so I now have 7 leads glued in,6 for plugs and 1 for the coil, the wire is 0.3 mm.
This must be what's referred to as Gonzo modeling !

Some beautiful work Mark. Gonzo: outlandishly unconventional, outrageous, extreme or: very strange, unusual.
