Done a bit of photo etch today won't get much done next week so thought I would crack on today method I use is generally prime pe on the sheet then cut bend and fit with cyano then brush paint this is for the railings larger bits like the wheel house and gun platform I cut bend and prime then later I'll airbrush before I fit to the ship that's all for now guys get better soon si

Yes it's very small I have to bend up the ready ammunition stowage racks there are twenty four of them and each one has three bends in it and they are about two mm long by one mm wide I bet the carpet monster eats at least one lol

Did quite a lot yesterday and today railings ladders storage racks around main gun no I didn't lose any lol then a gloss coat of future to hull by brush then the decals which are nice they go down very well just water next up is a Matt coat in a day or two then all the fiddly bits ie anchors davits rear depth charges anchor chains and the top surface radar and main mast


All the best for now guys pictures up in two mins PS pictured alongside z39 destroyer just to give an idea how small this ship is

Done quite a lot railings and armament just got anchors and chains and a Matt coat and flag


I got the book the cruel sea can't put it down one part it mentions going down the Irish sea and the poor old crew are having to put up with the compass rose rolling fourty degrees each way they were like corks apparently not one flower class was ever lost to rough seas imagine trying to navigate with a sextant in that sort of weather all I'll say is lest we forget

Thanks when you think it's a tenner plus pe it's good value and it's not a bad little kit not as good as dragon but it's the only one I think in this scale it's quite difficult I found because of the splinter camo and there is so much crammed into such a small space

I'm very fusy with books if I don't get into it fairly quick I'll give up one of my favourite books is called chickenhawk written by a huey pilot in nam
