discussion SPit 9 wing question

I have the Hasegawa 1/48 Spit Mk9 "E" ,but there is an extra little sprue that gives gun bay covers with the blisters on the inside (not the outer part as for the "E")

How close "vizually" is the "normal" Mk9 with the cannons on the inside to the "E" wing with the cannons outboard?
