Spots on the Internet (2022)

On the Border Models Facebook page - it seems that they are ready to ship the 1/32 Lancaster.

Certainly looks like a well stuffed box!

Hi Dave, do you need to take out a loan to buy one?......I don't imagine they will be a bargain, looking at the size of that box.

Rick,
£600+ - a lot of money for a lot of kit! Physically it'd take its' own room to display it! ( nearly 1m wingspan )

It would look great hanging from the ceiling with the bay doors open and loads of bombs visible in their racks waiting for the drop!
But 600 quid?? Crazy money!!

On the Meng Facebook page - upcoming release

'Pre-coloured' If it's at the same price point as the earlier BMWs - £120+, expensive.

On the ICM website, a teaser................

In 1/72 an early Nationalist Bf 109 and a Republican Tupolev SB. Reckon it must be both, otherwise why the strange title? Either way, neither are in the ICM current range ( at the moment )

Its a StuG fest!! But all G's and most have numerous problems with accuracy

On the Border Models Facebook page - a rather odd story about Aliens invading the US in 2030, and the PLA & US join forces to defeat them........................

Which sort of explains the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. I don't know if this reflects a particular genre of fiction in China, but it's a bit mystifying!
Dave

I'd have thought the PLA would be on the aliens' side!

Anybody remember KP models? A Czech manufacturer, who used to produce pretty crude, clunky, basic kits ( Typically Eastern Bloc ). Now, they seem to have quietly rebranded themselves as - Kovozavody Prostejov - doesn't seem to exactly roll of the tongue!
They seem to be allied with AZ Models, and are beginning to produce a whole series of new tool models

It doesn't seem to be being advertised, but there are some interesting models in the line up, the 1/72 Tempest II caught my eye.....................
Dave
ps I've ordered a 1/72 Dewoitine D-500, so I'll see what they are like!

Terrible news if you are into the aftermarket bits he makes like i am. If no-ne takes up his moulds then i can see me selling my 1/32 Ju88s :(

AIMS NEWS.

Hi everyone it is with great sadness that I inform you that due to ill health I will no longer be sending orders to private customers. It is hoped that this drastic step will give me more time to rest and a fighting chance of providing Hannants with a limited stock and therefore be able to continue. My hands are ruined and that it that. Thank you for all your support over the last 22 years. I will soon be taking my website down but will keep my FB page open. I had hoped to continue to be able to sell my 1/32 Bf 110 and Ju 88 sets that are not supplied to Hannants but after just 10 minutes back casting (two loads in the machine) my hands were on fire and the MRI reports that the nerves are damaged and there is nothing the surgeon can do about it and the most powerful steroid injections every month for last 10 months and 10 months of rest from the machines and moulds and packing orders have not made a blind bit of difference. So that is that, the situation is permanent and I must do the bare minimum or nothing at all - those my only options at this point.

Best wishes, John
