Is it best to add the hardener and then thin the mixture to a “sprayable” consistency or thin first and then add the hardener? My guess is that it probably doesn’t matter a great deal one way or the other but if anybody had experience of spraying 2-part fuel proofer I would appreciate his or her advice.

*** Grahame,best to mix the catalyst first to the resin,then quickly add the required amount of thinners,have plenty of spare thinners on standby as it clogs up the gun quicker than you can say Jack Robinson ! no need to remind you that the fumes are lethal,please wear a decent spray mask and do the job outdoors or in a makeshift booth,the smell of Tufcote will get everywhere and is quickly drawn into food even through the joints in fridge doors,we had a case a few years back where a local modeller who lived in a ground floor flat used two part proofer indoors on a warm day,the elderly occupants of the flat had to be evacuated due to the rising fumes,no joke.
