Good Morning Once Again Good People,

This post will be pics of the real displays at the museum. It was difficult to get some pics as there were vendor stands in the way. I didn't take but a few pics outside as it was sweltering hot yesterday. So, here we go...I will make a few comments here and there for the pics for clarification. Please hold any comments until I have posted all the pics as I am old and easily confused. Thank you for your understanding, this is a recording from...……………………………...

Again, thanks for sharing with us:smiling4: Sooo much cool stuff to look at:thumb2:

very nice group of pictures... the only vehicle that annoys a bit in the museum is the jeep...those orange indicators......:thinking::thinking::thinking::thinking::thinking::thinking:

Allen...only 60km away...what a treasure trove of references for scaling. I'd visit often If I were that close. We crazy Malaysians can travel 250km just to have lunch.:tongue-out:

Cheers,
Richard

Thanks Allen. Do you know about the unique AA guns pictured in pics#20 & 25? One looks like a 128 w/unusual barrel & the other a 37? The twin MGs were also mounted on some jagdpzrIVs during the Bulge. PaulE

Si, Jim, & Dave - You are most welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Greg - I know Buddy, tis not a perfect world we live in.
Richard - 250 kms for lunch??? You Sir, are crazy! There has to be some killer food on the menu for that drive. I do plan on going there again real soon.
Paul - It appears that the 128 had it's barrel destroyed and someone went to the hardware store and bought some plastic drain pipe and made a barrel end for it. It is also too short and that joint kills me. The other gun is a 37mm, but I think this is from a boat or u-boat with that kind of mount. Hope it's cooled off by you.

Looks like you've had a great time there Allen, thanks for sharing these with us too.:thumb2::smiling:

Allen,
Thank you Sir! Lots of great pics! Being a small arms collector, I really enjoyed that part of the tour. I was surprised not to see any Lugers, P.38s or other hand guns. Are they Tabboo in Deutschland?
Cheers, Rick H.

Thanks again Guys,

Fernando & Stevie - The only bad part of the day was the intense heat over 33° C. In most of the halls it was ok, but outside was murder (the Leikeim Pils were good)...

Rick - These showcases were upstairs in hall 3. There were many more that I didn't get to shoot pics of as it got too hot (over 40° C) and they were closing up shop for the day. Next time Sir, I'll shoot them all for ya and no they are not illegal in a museum. The same with the swastika. in a museum, they can be displayed...

Great pictures Allen, thanks for sharing.
I had a recent trip to Bovington Tank Museum, so I must crank up the rarely used PC, and share some of my snaps.

Jim

Hi Allen,
That looks like a great museum and you had a modelling show as well, looks like you had a great time and thank you for sharing it.
