Steve H, 1:35 Italeri Stug B, Bob's Stug GB

Hi Steve my temp has dropped a bit and i actually enjoyed food. At least the awful headaches have eased.

I asked him and Wolfgang about the no of A2's built. In Panzer tracts and a few other books they say only 6 but in there excellent book they say upto 20? They have a photo showing a chassis no of number of no 7, so that answered that!

Far too much time spent with StuG's me thinks

Good to hear Bob

20 was the figure I thought, as I have their book, no surprises then.

Must dig mine out of the attic one day and get it finished!

Take care and enjoy the food

Steve H

Thanks Steve

I hope to return to the G when i get a lot better but am also planning to start the A2, so double checking my research.

Thankfully the new Dragon A kit has all the parts in the spares mountain apart from the extra armour plate on the front

Take care thanks for asking

Watching with interest! Cracking start Steve!

I have got the Mr Colour laquer mod set to try.

Steve,
My apologies this has slipped below my radar but just had a good catch up. Very nice work indeed. I will follow along now.

Thanks chaps for popping in, much appreciated

The AK set didn't spray that well, though it was warmer and my .15 AB skills are somewhat lacking!

The colour lightening hasn't really come out in the photos, probably my lack of skill with a mobile phone camera LOL

They are slightly better in real life, the next steps will be brush work and will take it from just average to as extreme as I dare!

Definitely more this weekend, lets see how far we can go!

Thanks for looking in

Thanks Peter

A morning of back breaking modulation with brushes at my desk as that is the limit of my low pressure AB skills

It certainly looks a little more extreme, I might just add one more layer of silver grey which is really off white in the morning if I think it needs it.

Crazy weather, its too hot today for the AB and a .15 needle!!

even watered well down, the paint would dry on the tip!!

I need to get the Flak I up to the same stage then I can split the weathering up.

I shall finish them both off in a dusty Russian summer but one with pigments and washes and one with oils, though my OPR skills are still very basic and nothing like Michael Rinaldi's superb work.

I've watched loads of his videos and he literally repaints the whole thing with oils

I have a special project for the Stug B when its been finished, but that's for another day

More soon?

Looks fine to me Steve, it can be difficult to photograph a model, even with an SLR I don't always get a good picture.

Very nice AB work indeed. A dark art to me, but a joy to see done this well.

Thanks gents for popping by its much appreciated

She is just too pretty to make her look messy!!

I have sealed her with Tamiya flat clear, and she looks so sweet, but she has a manifest destiny after achieving the prettiest Stug in Bobs GB

I shall give her a wash, some oils and dust her up just a little ready for her big date later this year.....................

Very pretty indeed Steve. Must be so hard to contemplate weathering after such a clean result.

A basic sepia wash on the flat surfaces but not the tread plate on the fenders

Next is a pin wash with Tamiya black panel liner, you do remember eventually to be precise as you don't have as many tide marks to wash off!

Below the fenders I used the panel liner as a glossy grease wash

Its a start and I have a base for another project cooking too

Thanks for popping by, hopefully more soon
