I'm not a fan of some PE parts that are supplied with some kits .


Where's the best place to find STL files for scale model ships?

Im currently building the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Westminster, I dont like some of the PE parts that come with the kit. Thanks for the tip

1 can't find much in the way of pre-made sets except https://www.britmodeller.com/forums...r-upgrade-set-atlantic-models-1350-atac35022/ and little in the way of masts / radar for UK ships.

It's the small parts that I'd like to find to replace PE parts ... I've been on quite a few sites but no cigar so far

It's very unlikely someone would have already made the parts you require unless they had built that precise model and been equally irritated by the PE. Unfortunately, unless you either do it yourself or commission someone, I think you are out of luck. My suggestion is look for an STL file of a similar complete ship and see if it contains the details you want, then you can download it and cherry-pick the bits you need .

They are quite pricey, was wondering, has anyone got one? Are they any good? and are they worth the money?
