discussion Taimya German Pak40/L46 Anti-Tank gun n figures.

Wanted a quick build before the main upcoming GB starts, so went for a nice easy, smallish Tamiya German Pak40/L46 anti tank gun with figures.
Not going to go to town with this one, will be a simple, fast build, just to gimme summit to do. It will be painted but will be pretty much basic out of box jobbie.

Made a start, figures assembled, barrel and accessories assembled, underside, gun carriage thing done, need to sand and fill a few little bits when its all dry, and the glue has fully set, etc, lots of little parts on this one, so a bit fiddly, but everything has gone together well so far, with no major fettling required (yet).

Bit more progress, pretty much built now, done some sanding, not too many gaps need filling, will get on to priming tomorrow.

More progress, all built up now and started priming bits up, did do some minor filling but not much required TBH.
Accessories added to the figures, bread bags, gas masks, water bottles, bayonets, pistols, etc

Main colour now on the gun (German Grey) and figures, but need to add more details, highlights, accessories, etc.
Figures given thier unifrom colour and first light/mist flesh tone applied, but again, more detail needs to be added, to highlight belts, accessories, etc.

Had a problem with the shells, Tamiya state brass as the colour so the only brass I have is an AK, but did not seem to coat the shells properly, had primed them with an AK black primer, so should be ok? Will give them another coat later or maybe try my Tamiya XF copper, and then tone them down with a wash later....
