I'm looking forward to seeing what people put as there answers, bear in mind the question is limited to only the Tamiya kits.

I already have one of the Mustangs and was thinking of adding a couple more to my stash. Having seen what's in the box to me they really are worth the money.

I'm toying between an F-15 and one of the Spitfires, but what do you all think?

Adrian

there lancaster bomber looks mint adrian just realised it's 1:48 though so i would go for the spitfire

All of the 1/32 Tammy WW2 props are outstanding kits.

There are two versions of the Zero, two P51s, three Spitfires and two Corsairs. Plus of course to be joined by the Mossie in July. In like them so much I have all the versions with one Zero and one of the Mustangs already built.

One of the Spitfires. Hands down the best Spitfires in this scale, though also the most expensive :)

Cheers

I'm with Barry! A Zero one :)

Arrrgghhhh.....a japanese plane with his weathering and chipping effects.....and then add the plus, the Tamiya detailed models!!!

Simply perfect

Haven't they just brought out a 1/32 mosquito now that would be a kit

I'd like to build the 1/32 Tamiya F4C Phantom.Unfortunately it's expensive, is 'old' Tamiya and isn't up to their current high standard. Why not get the F15E?.

Spitfires are lovely aircraft but I think a nice one would be either mk19 with the griffon power or the Mk 9

I've just ordered the F-15 and decided on a Spitfire next, any recomendations on which of the three to get?
Adrian
If you want a regular grey/green Spitfire, go for the Mk IX. For a tropical scheme or maybe something exotic the Mk VIII would be the option (Aussie modellers like the Mk VIII as the RAAF operated them). The Mk XVI looks cool with clipped wings and 'low back' too.

They are all based on the same basic kit, you can't go wrong.

Just had a look at them and yeah the Mk XVI does look different, but think I'll go with a Mk VIII

The corsair is just outstanding
It is...but it's not a Spitfire :)

All the newer Tamiya kits are superb, as can be gathered from the comments in this thread. I'd love to build them all. My bank manager doesn't agree for some reason! I am definitely going to save up for the new Mosquito, that should build into an impressive looking beast.

Cheers
