discussion Tamiya 1/35 easy eight Sherman

Hi all this will be my next build. It looks like it is a typical Tamiya kit straight forward construction it has clear parts for the commanders copula and some parts have a cast texture already added.

Hi all here's the first part of my Sherman build I have started on the running gear and lower hull. The only problem I have had is that every road wheel and return roller needed a seam sanding off, the lower hull and suspension went together without a problem.

Hi all well finally got a chance to get all the sub assemblies done. Ready for priming. The only thing I've added is new hatch handles and a couple of tie down points on the rear deck.

I get all excited when something comes along and someone starts a new build. I was watching Kelly's heroes the other day and now I have seen this Colin I'm thinking of more Sherman's abs the scene of the 3 coming our the tunnel
And seeing as I'm on the AFV mode why not
Wife's gonna go nuts

Managed to get it painted using ammo olive drab set I must say I'm not impressed with the paint at all I spent more time cleaning the needle than I did spraying. In the end I had to use 30psi just to get the paint to atomise properly.

Jaguar models produced these figures way back in 2008. I think you may find they are out of production now but do crop up on ebay from time tontime.

Re. Oddball and his crew. When the three tanks emerged from the railway tunnel, the crews were all buttoned up, so no need for any figures - apart from perhaps, flying soldiers!.....

I have a tunnel entrance, railway track and the Shermans all lined up. All I need now is to be driven indoors when the cold weather finally arrives. Then I can make a start!!

I'm wanting to build the same scene but and here's the big but
I'm no where near the build stage yet
Still to get is 3 Sherman's and then the tunnel entrance
Railway line
Etc etc etc
Yep it's still I the planning stage ( hahahahaha

This looks awesome Colin and relay do like the figures too ( adds that extra dimension and scale ( very well painted too )
I may have missed it but I don't get the Amercan star in black ( was this a feature of the E8 )
Nice track work too

Thanks Robert the figures are from tamiya the commander is part of the kit the gunner and driver are part of the European theatre set. I think the black stars are supposed to represent painted out insignia seen on some vehicles. The decals are the only disappointing thing about this kit.
