Speedy Gonzales as ever Moni! ;) always interesting to see an older Tamiya kit being built.

Incidentally, the SU-100 was one of the few tanks feared by Tiger B crews on the Russian Front.

there a nice easy kit to build these,s one,I do enjoy them as well, always like your added info,as well,

I read a lot of books with accounts from actual soldiers, so that gives a more personal perspective on what happened during combat. Sometimes that's more illuminating than a dry description of a battle ;)

I've got the new Miniart SU 85 in the stash which I'm thinking of starting if I can figure the best way to display the interior detail.

Very nice work Monica, as always I am amazed by the speed at which you work!

Me too ... 800+ parts if I am not mistaken, and plenty of interior details, but once u put on the upper half, most if not all the details cannot be seen.

I find all your comments and added info very helpful, and dose give more of an insight into a build, and how to base it , :D

I will look forward to seeing you start on the SU-85,real I think the only way you,can show the inside is by cutaways,I did see,

a kit forget by who,and it was a T34,or SU,which did have a clear hull, :/ and I know there is a Tiger as well with that ,

ta,Bob do real appreciate your comments,I find with the Tamiya kits very very fast builds,

but need to put more into added detail, and the painting and weathering of the kit, :D

You're thinking of the AFV Club T-34 Moni, which has the clear hull & turret. I've come up with a cunning plan for my SU 85... I'll keep the roof & one side plate separate to display the fighting compartment :)

sounds like a very good plan,Patrick,I will be waiting to see this one, :D

Just as I finish commenting on your last build your half way through the next,I don't know how you do it so quick but it's great for us following as we get to see loads of your work and it's top notch.

great progess on this one so far

much appreciated , Stuart ,so very glad that your liking this one so far, very nice kit to build, :D

I do tend to build a little quite in some stages of a build, then it slows down, :/

Thread owner
a small update on this one, have both half's together, and the driver in, :/

and start another crew member as well,

made the tank holder, from some strip,s of tea candle, cut to 2mm,strips,and a bit of balsa for the mount to the tank,

maybe not the best, but I think it dose work, O.o

also the marking on her as well,

so that's where I,m at at the moment, :D

hope you like the added tank holders, next add the bits and bobs, :)
