Alright everyone

Just a quickie - has anyone ever used Tamiya cotton buds? I think there are 5 different sizes and i've only seen them on a few websites. And as usual i can't find them here in Moscow. But i'm about to make an order and am wondering if i will be that fool who's quickly parted with his money )

Never have. I do use cotton buds but just liberate the regular ones that SWMBO gets from Boots. I've no idea what she uses them for...probably best not to ask!

They do seem like a pointless buy. I've told my missus to stop buying cheap ones that leave cotton thread all over my models

A valid point there, what do women buy cotton buds for?

They're the kind of thing that all women always have in the medicine cupboard yet there seems to be no obvious use for them besides modelling?

FWIW, I just use generic ones too, sometime Johnsons if I happen to need some from the local chemist but otherwise Tesco, Morrisons or whichever

Ensuring that I had a clear path to an exit I posed the question. Apparently they are essential for tidying up make up and cleaning your ears. soaking in nail varnish remover and smoothing putty or cleaning goo off clear parts never got a mention!

I wish I'd never asked.
