I'm going to leave them John - It doesn't bother me at all, especially as the MP44 will hide those parts.

Peter. Beautiful! I know this is my favorite one so far out of all the figures you have done I just wish the build didn’t have to end

Jealous or what Peter, only tried one figure and it ended up like co co the clown;)

Really admire your work

Bob

Peter. May I add one more thing your figure looks warmer than I’ve been these last couple days

Lee - Many thanks for your kind words. Hope you are actually managing to keep Jack Frost at bay. Another 1/16 German next methinks.

Bob - Many thanks. The stuff you armour boys do blows me away - a real dark art.

I'm doing 1:72 figures at the moment Peter, and armour is a walk in the park compared to doing figures :smiling2: :thumb2:

As with all things its what you enjoy doing that keeps you interested in this hobby which creates such an eclectic group of modellers on the forum..

I'm with Jim on this one. Like it a lot. Glad to see you had a lot of fun with it.

Steve - Anything is a walk in the park compared to 1/72 figures. 1/16 is the smallest my eyes can manage nowadays. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Morning Peter

Well done again, and he does have a "chilly" look in the face too.

Red checks and nose, suitably cold.

I once tried a very diluted blue wash to shade the cheeks, nostrils and eye lids to emphasis the cold on the 1/35 Master Box Cold Wind figures.

I thought it looked quite good, though I didn't finish the figures, just the heads!

It seems the WWII Germans are the only figures in the larger scales that are even close to being a base for a cold/frozen look?

I drifted off topic, must be my age LOL

Hope you have a better day with Owen, teenagers in love!

I can't really remember! LOL

Looks like we will all be stuck indoors today with Storm Dennis.

Is your next figure a potential frosty one?

Have a good day with the paints,

And don't go outside without lead boots! LOL

Regards

Steve H

Thanks for your kind words Steve. If the face has a cold look it's purely accidental. My next will be another cold German - more later.

Kept up by the storm last night - the conservatory doors flew open at 3am and I thought the whole house was going down. My daughters insist that they are still travelling by train today - may take a long, long time.

Well another for the cabinet Peter.
Painted with care and skill. Love the touch of dirt on the trousers, nice !

Thank you John. Having to weather the nice, clean white trousers killed me!
