shouldnt the tank cap breather pipe go down past the headstock, under the tank somehow?

On some bikes there is a clip on the bars or frame for the breather pipe, but on this model i just cut the tube stuck it on !!, never really thought about The lenght of it, possible an off cut that i used for it but it should be longer and could have been tucked in to the yoke or frame
