Try brown ,red and yellow andrew, let us know how you get on, cheers tony

Andrew paint your tiles yellow at first then if you have oil paint using burnt sienna paint this on, allow it to sit for a few minutes then take some kitchen roll and gently wipe the majority off, this leaves a lovely terracotta colour.

Bit late replying but maybe useful for the future.......

Your basic terracotta pigment is made up from the simple prime colours

Yellow 50%

Red 35%

Blue 15%

Adjust red and blue slightly to get variation

Spent 11 years in the dyeing and finishing trade in my youth ..... never though back then i'd make use of it in the future :)
