Sounds to me like you are getting ready for the aftermarket resin cockpit sets. They can certainly add to a model. Me ,I rarely bother, You can barely see all that work once the fuselage is closed up!

As for "out of the box",Revell's new 1/32 Ju 88 has a fantastic cockpit comprising 125 pieces. Then you have to build the rest of it! I haven't plucked up the courage to start mine yet but if you fancy one buy it soon. They are very reasonably priced now but are sure to become more expensive.

Happy cockpit building

Steve

Have a look here

Junkers Ju 88 A-1 by Diedrich Wiegmann (Revell 1/32)

the article is copyright so you'll have to copy the address into your browser. He has done a lovely job on the cockpit.

I have just read an article in Tamiya Modelling International Magazine where they make the Dragon 1/32nd Me110. The cockpit is stunning and of course with such a large canopy you can actually see a lot of it. This particular model also has two engines included so the scope for detailing is limited only by imagination!!

I love making the Tamiya 1/48th Lancaster Bomber and rectifiing all its faults, for me its got to be making the canopies up neatly and painting them.
