The last Battle of Britain Ace, Paul Farnes, has died aged 101. The other day I watched TV programmes about the Holocaust. the message was that we must 'Never Forget' We must also never forget the sacrifices made by young men like Paul.

A great loss. What seems extraordinary is that we only recently said goodbye to the last British WW1 veteran and now the survivors of the next conflict are leaving us.

A touching reminder for us all Jim. I remember reading about him at the RAF memorial in Dover a few years ago.

Sad...Lest we forget.

Sad, yes, but he was one of the relatively lucky ones. 520 pilots were lost during the BoB, many more wounded.
