Hi All,

Long time again since ive posted , but ive been checking in!

Ive noticed some inspiring posts from our miniature military builders so i thought i would give it a go :smiling3:

The thought process behind this dio is a popup outpost "Vorposten" as if they were to be lying in wait ready to go into action at any point.

The Dio will be based on a credit card and no more and will have these model as the starting point.

View attachment 314460

View attachment 314461

Ive just used some scrap balsa and cut to size and i seems to of given the desired effect.

here is the tiger tank which i do have 4 more in the pack but they'll have a use on another micro build! For 1/285 scale the tank is very detailed

Cheers again lads! More updates soon

This is wonderful Ben! I shall pull up a chair on watch on keenly. A "too scale" shot in your next update would be great so we can see how small this build really is

Basic camo pattern please forgive the camo not something i paint everyday!

View attachment 315081

Ive also added details to the tracks etc... and given the tank a sepia wash

View attachment 315082

View attachment 315084

for wear marks or metal edges etc i just used a cocktail stick a took the paint back to the white metal as its just as effective

Hi Ben
I have seen some micro dios done at this scale and often thought I would like to give it a go so I'll follow this with interest. Stunning start and the detail is amazing with it being so small.

Another update

Ive used some sticky back cork courtesy of Mr Duck which should give me a easy way to sculpt/ carve the ground.

View attachment 315159

I then went a marked out where the figures will be and removed the cork in that area which in turn wilkl sit the figures at ground level.

View attachment 315161

Also ive started to carve the road way/track which should all look in scale
View attachment 315163

Cheers for now

Another Update :)

Started added a base color to the corking and decided to add some sand bags

View attachment 315291

Bit more variation of color and bit more sepia wash on the edges ready to be highlighted

View attachment 315292

Added a small piece of plasticard to the tank turret so this can be posed.

View attachment 315293

The figures were attached to coffee stirrers for ease of painting

View attachment 315294

Hairy stick picasso carried out and here the results and if im honest its hard to give them the justice with correct lighting etc.. It will all come together once they are part of the dio

View attachment 315295

Cheers Guys :)

Hi All

A small but big update!

Here's the progress

View attachment 315402

View attachment 315403

View attachment 315404

Added flocking and used my static grass applicator, lichen, crumbled cork, tiles as debris (if you can spot any!), used various washes

Found a old ornament base that i though would be suitable

View attachment 315405

Cut it down and stained and waxed and added a felt bottom

View attachment 315407

and here it is i will add better pics for the completed dio!

View attachment 315409
View attachment 315410
View attachment 315411

View attachment 315412

View attachment 315413

All i need to source now is where i can get a name plate made as i would think that would finish it off nicely! Any suggestions of places that make them would be ideal :)

Cheers Guys
