Recently, I recieved the 2013 Airfix Club Model. This time, for the club Model the 'Under the Red star' has been released. This has a Hurricane Mk 2b a Spitfire Mk 5 and a Curtiss Warhawk. The decal sheet has very detailed stckers and this is a great set.I converted the hurricane into a Raf Mk 1 Battle of Britain Type and it turned out really well. The gun pockets were painted red and the decals from the Under the red star were applied except for its registration letters and numbers which I custom made. The hurricane will be added to a BoB Diorama I am working on. The Planes are extremely detailed and if used with drybrushing it will come up with good results. I have not used airbrushing on this but I'm sure it would work quite well. the other planes I will convert into raf types also later in the year.

The Diorama is actually homemade. I wrote an article on that in scratch build section

Sorry, I won't be building the Spit Mk 5. I am using it with the Raf recovery set.
