This order was originally formed to run a hospital for lepers in Jerusalem and later became a military order. The green cross of the order is believed to be the origin of the international symbol for a pharmacy/chemist.

Thank you Peter. Some may think the dirt/weathering is overdone but after living in the Near East and Middle East on and off for nearly 40 years I know how filthy I got at times and I wasn't fighting for my life all the time.
