an ill fitting tamiya kit ! In between my spitfire build I'm building a brummbar and the top hull won't fit onto the bottom hull , Ive checked to see if there's a warp or anything else but I can't find anything wrong in the kit

I suppose there had to one somewhere:)

As far as I know it is a 70's kit, does it have loads of injector pin marks? It isn't a bad kit, regarding build wise but, it is based on the Panzer IV chassis and was made too wide to accommodate a motor. Should fit and sounds like a slightly warped one.

Yes there are quite a few injector pin marks but luckily there all on the inside :) your probably right about the warm squash as it is out of alignment on two corners but is flat and no twist

I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet or what paint job I'll give it but what ever I'll do I'm going to give it some dings :)

Bung in some hot water for a min or two and jiggle, may do the trick, failing that do a fixed defence model that way only the top hull will be exposed.

I was thinking the same or use superglue with a touch of water , the foggy dusty residue left behind could work to my advantage as blown paint :)

Have had some hull fit problems from kits I was gifted when a friends family member passed .They were stored in a hot/cold garage for years stacked on top of each other with other junk mixed in, so of course many were slightly warped. Built the old Brumbar my self but don't remember any problems with fit.
