Titanic Moon etc?

I spent quite a bit of time studying the Titanic when I was younger, and there are about as many theories as there are people spouting them on how the last hour went.

The dominant theories have changed significantly over the years, as originally it was deemed that she'd sunk whole, as the ship was thought to be so strong and massive it could not have broken. There were eye-witnesses at the time that declared that they'd seen the ship break in half just before she went under, but while still on the surface. With the panic & near total darkness this was dismissed and the noises were explained away as the sound of the boilers breaking away as the stern raised higher.

Later when Ballard found the ship it was accepted that she'd broken in two as described, though whether this would have been above or below the surface was still debated.

James Cameron actually did a decent documentary on this a little while back which I'd say is well worth a watch, as they spent a fair bit of time looking at the timings and as he put it "just how much of that film I'm going to have to re-shoot.."

This gives the phase of the moon for any time of the clock and the date1810 (or whever the Titanic sank).
