I guess most people will know this but I thought I would post this on the off-chance it is new to some - a source of free 1/35 scale leaves.

the source is the seeds from a silver birch tree, this is what they look like on the tree:

And when the 'clumps' (no idea what the technical name is) are broken to separate the individual seeds:

Perfect 1/35 leaflitter

Nice idea Peter, my car is always covered in these, I just normally end up washing them off, never thought about actually using them... :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:

Thanks Peter. The idea is new to me. Tomorrow I think a search for silver birch trees is in order.

Did you find a silver birch tree?

i collected a large envelope of them this afternoon, far more than I need so if you or anybody would like some, feel free to PM me with your address and I will post you some.

Peter

Kind offer but no need as I know there are silver birch in the local park and one growing in the garden of my daughter's neighbour.

A great think to have and use Peter, once dried they last and last .
Luckily we have some growing not far away .
