I really like the work you have done on the eyes there Steve mate, to me there are always one of the most difficult things to paint and get right,

Spent a nice relaxing hour or so weathering up the bush hat last night, wet on wet washes to get variations in the tones on the hat, not forgetting the underneath. Started with dark tones around the base and above and below the cheetah band, then added a lighter tone and mixed this in dragging away from the dark tone. Repeated process with mid tones, until the lightest wash was added to the middle areas, edges of the brim and the peak of the hat, just needs a couple of coats of matt varnish, then a couple of drops of either fuel spills or engine grime to replicate sweat and muck.

Steve mate, that is looking awesome. That hat looks like crocodile Dundees hat.

Very good skin tones Steve. Been out in the sun but not over done. Nice work on the hat!

Cheers, thats the look i was going for  xD . In all honesty the base coat was to dark, so had to work with what i put down, or strip it all off. Could try and lighten everything but i would probably make a hash of things and he would like he had gone mad with the Mascara - not something that would have happened back in 1915.

Latest Update –

Small subtle sweat stains added above and below the band and stain drops added onto the hat

Shirt has seen better days (doubt Daz, Fairy, Persil could shift those sweaty dirty stains)

Painted the leather belt and pouches; used various revel shades of browns and ochre colours, brass buttons and buckle painted in and then to blend it all together a wash of Tamiya smoke. Hopefully get a matt varnish on the rest of the bust over the weekend and then mount on a plinth.
