Wynford Vaughan-Thomas and his engineer Reg join the bomber on a bombing raid over Berlin. The BBC has recently put the original programme, which was on the BBC the day after the raid, on Radio 4 extra with a documentary too.

This subject will be built as a diorama for the Toon challenge using a Cute Lancaster. The rear gunner shot down a German fighter during the flight which was reported to be a Junkers 88. This not available as an egg so I might use a 109 instead.View attachment 322626

Looking forward to building a plane for the first time in 40 years...
