Let's have a seat boys. This I've got to watch. Looking great so far Monica.

Yes indeed, the Americans learned fast after Tarawa and other island invasions.....Naval bombardment was essential before any attempted landing, even then it was brutal stuff as the Japanese also learned, and realised a beach defence was useless, so they dug elaborate tunnels and defences further inland......Checkmate!!

...room for a small one!?...

Lee :)

Looking good monica will be watching this.

SORRY MON ment to give you a thumbs up and hit the wrong thumb!.

Awesome work Monica and a great read. I think the palms will look really good, I've seen them made from paper and wire but the feather looks extreamly effective.

Is the das how you made the sandbags?

Thread owner
ta Aaron,do appreciate the kind words, ;)

first time making palms so will be a little trial and error, with them, but i hope to get

them some what ok,

yes thats how i do my sandbags, cheaper than buying them, ;)

Thread owner
well got a bit more done after a few hr,s

put the leaves,on the palm,s but still needs some twigging and painting, but you can

see how it will be,

have all the base coats on the figures, just need to start to refine them,

so time for a bit of a rest,as still waiting for things to dry, ;)

so hope your liking it,

the pics show how i made the tops of the palms, and just need to play about with it all,as it has been heavily shelled,

so there not in the best sharp,
