Just fancy doing a car

Always liked Aoshima kits..... Tend to get lots of extra bits in the box for various versions

This is a 1st generation Toyota Celica LB...... LB stands for LiftBack..... Or hatchback as its known in the civilised world lol

This is one thats gone thro a modern tuning house as in lowered, carlos fandango wheels, body kit bits etc.... Bit of a restomod style

I was wondering what colour to do it.... Toyed with a lilac or lime green....... Went local car bits shop looking at the rattle can rack and found a can of metallic purple very close to whats on the box....... Guy on the counter raised his eyebrows 'been a while since we sold any of this'.......... Turns out its a Rover colour on 90's MGF and Rover 200 series

Looks interesting Paul. Will you be doing it in the bubblegum purple?

Little progress report.......

First i threw away the instructions by accident when i tidied up after the cutty sark...... So im having to use online instructions for a similar but not the same kit i found on scalemates...... But hey, instructions are just 'guidance' arnt they lol

The spraying of the bodyshell is going to take multiple light coats so thats going to take at least a week with hardening off times tween each coat

But i am making slow progress..... This is going to be one if those that seem to take forever getting nowhere then all of a sudden its finished

Pics to follow when theres something to show

Rover amaranth pearl..... Like these two sexy motors
That's one of the very few flip colours I actually like. Most are just too gaudy for my taste.

Legend has it, it was an expiriment at the factory, but when a visiting dealer saw it he persuaded them to put it onto production.

You're probably aware but a black groundcoat will work best.
