Launched in July 1900, Epee was the fourth and last of the Framee Class of contre-torpileures, torpedo-boat destroyers. She is seen here running trials in the Mediterranean, escorted by Dupuy de Lome, one of the frst true armoured cruisers





These are 3D Prints by WSW via Dobbies Hobbies in Canada. They're available in multiple scales, destroyers coming in triple packs (which is good because, with a little modification. the Framee can depict two other French, one Spanish, one Japanese, and a couple of other TBDs!)
Railings are Starling Models. They're nice, but I fine. I really need to finds something more robust. Masts and rigging, brass and steel rod

So, here's how the models come

They're a lot less fiddly work than, say, Combrig kits, and they've a really nice pre-Dreadnought range. They're cheap enough that I can actually do the three ship 'Live Bait Squadron' - three Cressy-class armoured cruisers for less than one resin kit

Next in the works will probably be HMS Powerful as she served in the Boer War and the relief of Mafeking
