I've put together the 12.8cm big gun. It went together easily following clear instructions. My late father showed me the trick of adding wear to this sort of thing....(I don't like chipping) Glue it together, paint it and when the paint is sort of tacky, carefully rub the model here and there with an old toothbrush to remove some paint. This is what I've done. Wear and tear sorted to my liking with no faffing about.
Barrel loose fitted.

You can never have too many wheels when building tracked vehicles. So often on a tank build I think to myself........ ‘if only it had more wheels to build, fit, paint and weather’

The main part of the lower hull build is done.


Deck, big box thingy, exhaust, rear steps and tools fixed.








I'll brush on a final coat of paint when the actual build is completed.

Next I'll start the fighting compartment detail.

I've made a start on the 'interior' fittings.

No locating pins, just a faint outline of the parts to ensure the correct position on the steel sides.













I've just noticed I've 'Dropped one.'....easily fixed.

The Grandson has allowed me to muck it up a bit, so I'll be adding a bit of subtle weathering too, before it's finally completed.
