Was reading the book 'Seal Team Six', published by Sphere, and written by Howard E Wasdin & Stephen Templin, very good book by the way, when Machrihanish, Scotland was mentioned as a base for the US Navy Seals, found this interesting Article, there are many others on the web in a similar vain. P.S. For those who like conspiracy theories, why is the area of the Firth of Forth south of Burntisland blanked out in the Google Satellite view??, I don't know.

Having lived in Cyprus for several years, obviously I was interested in the military installations there.

I was involved with the Karting Club at 'JSU Ayios Nikolias,' where there is a very LARGE radar dish and several areas of land with some sort of odd installations that from ground level are visible.

Trying Google earth to see how the track looked from above, I realised that neither the very LARGE dish, or the odd installations are visible.

In fact where the installations are, Google earth only shows blurred long white oblong strips !!!!!!

At RAF Akrotiri the were three TR1's (U2) that only operate ( take off/land) at night. Oh! I forgot, no they aren't, there are no such aircraft there.

The Americans we met weren't really there either.
