Just checked BBC iPlayer. Both are shown, so we will be watching those. Thanks for the heads up.
I wathed the Mustang episode which was actually much better than I expected. I have developed rather low expectations over the years! I noted contributions by the late Roger Freeman and a credit to Alfred Price. With input from people like that it SHOULD be difficult to make a bad program.
Those two men have written what I would regard as indispensible books on aviation history. Freeman's "Mighty Eighth",written about forty years ago, is still the best and most readable history of the 8th AF in Britain. Anyone with an interest in the Spitfire simply has to get hold of Price's "The Spitfire Story" though he must have written literally hundreds of titles, I've got a few on my shelves.
