Hey look, I completed a kit! Yayy!! the quick fix to the quick fix of a quick fix of my modelling mojo!
In recent decades I haven't been a fan of Airfix in their post millennial renaissance, their Spitfire PR19, NA Sabre, Mitsubishi Zero, BAe Hawk Folland Gnat, and DH Vampire weren't good for me, awkward assembly and deep panels lines being the main problems, I really prefered their classics versions Spitfire mkII, Folland Gnat T1 and even their ancient Zero provided an early copy could be found, the molds did wear out after many years service, thus adding to my lost of faith in Airfix. (the Zero new tool in 1959 was reboxed and issued for a final time half a century later in 2009!) Long gone were the halcyon days of were I would put together an Airfix kit at least a couple of weekends a month over a few happy hours.
However! This one is brilliant! enough detail for me and the fit was very good! Airfix will become a good verb again as well as a proper noun!
An Airfix starter set of a Eurofighter Typhoon, in 1/72

The 'mecha musune' habit continues, simple snap fit kits, no paint no glue well engineered a satisfying 30 minutes modelling with results like these Here
Miko (off to stare at my still unfinished Hase Lightning and await inspiration! Then probably build another little robot girl!)
