The container is supposed to be filled to the brim with scrap tires but I did not have sufficient to achieve this. So ill have to get my hands on some tires that no one has a need for. A little more toning the weathering on the container, behind the cab, and minute detailing and it is done.

Your work on these trucks and dioramas are so inspiring Charles, and always done to such a very high standard. Great work.

Regarding your tyre shortage, why not place a suitable thickness block of polystyrene in the trailer, paint it black and then add what tyres you have on top of the block?

An effective way of filling the trailer is to create a false floor using a cardboard platform to raise the floor of the trailer then using a lesser amount of tyres as the load. Model railway modellers use this trick to reduce weight and cost of wagon loads.

That is one of the best trucks I have ever seen, realistic is not even close...amazing work! You put this outside and did some clever perspective shots and I defy anyone to tell this is a model.

That's just wow!...just shown swmbo a close up of the front wheel...she's just managed to put her jaw back in place, lol :D

Superb work Charles....and everything everybody else said...Tractor looks the hard miles back and forth from the dirty scrap yards to the dirty tire recyclers. Very nice indeed;)............Jim:)

Looking at the pictures, I had to keep reminding myself this is a model. The realistic finish on this is not almost perfect, IT IS perfect!!


To get plastic to this finish making someone disbelieve their eyes is truly remarkable.

Thanks a lot. The models are actually old models that i had built a long time ago and had used them in another diorama. I just gave them a make over. So the actual make over took a couple of days to do.
