discussion un sticking my glue

I am building the hobbyboss A10 Tankbuster and have glued an aileron upside down using slaters mek pak how do I unstick the aileron and relcae it the right way up

Unfortunately MEK (Methyl Ethane Ketone, or something similar!!) disolves polystyrene so you now have a completely homogenous joint of polystyrene plastic. The only way to remove it is to cut it away which may of course cause damage. You best bet is to cut to the side of the aileron so that you can trim the wing back to original when it is removed and you can more easily build up the aileron again with putty before reattaching.
