Hey all, I thought I would update, still have the blues with modelling but I love your posts.
I have done some building but I have found the biggest killjoy is Facebook of all things. Just kills my mood every time. Has anyone else found this?

No never ever been on it, never will, why do you, it seems to be kill joy, I do not like kill joy,
just never go there then you will be very happy boy.

Alexander,
simple solution - reserve your Facebook useage for late evening! The world won't end if you don't check your posts, texts, tweets and emails! If anything's that important, someone will phone you. Social Media can take over your life, if you let it. I have alerts turned off on my phone, only letting phonecalls ring through. I often put my computer to sleep, when I'm not using it. Smartphones and Laptops are your servants, not your masters...............

Hello Alexander,
FORGET ABOUT FACEBOOK and all that other hi tech mumbo jumbo, just enjoy the model making your doing and thats all its about, every one out there is a critic or knows better but in most cases they just like to talk rot.

enjoy your hobby end of story,

regards Barrie ( the old guy who has been there seen it done it )

Excellent post Barrie. It sums things up very nicely.

Alexander.
Sling Facebook or at least use it for your own convenience, not for other folks to bombard you with garbage! Thus speaks my wife, not I. I never go near these social media thingies. I'm too busy having a life to enjoy without knowing that little Johnny has been sick down his daddies back again......

Regarding model making. I don't get uptight and stressed out, simply because I'm a near enough merchant. This works every time when I begin to twitch!.

If I'm happy with my efforts that is all that matters. I don't try to get things spot on right. I admire folks that do try, it's just not for me. This keeps the know it all, I know better, nit pickers away from my builds. They probably consider any intervention a complete waste of time....Suits me fine. Peace and tranquility are my companions.

As Barrie writes - "Enjoy your hobby end of story"

Regards Ron (another old guy who has been there, seen it, done it)....Well nearly!

Yes most of Face Book is "trumped up".

Laurie friend of Donald :smiling:

I have to agree whole heartily with Ron, I model purely for the fun of it. If it's not historically right or the wrong colour I really don't care I just try to make it look as good as I can.
As to FB there are a lot of sad puppies on there.

Facebook is such a jumped-up place, modelling should be a fun relaxing thing. I have come off loads of pages now guys, the sad thing is I join this year only to look at modelling, the sad irony .
@Laurie sound advise from Mrs Laurie
